For reduction of dB (noise damping).
Materials for noise insulation are typically made from foam materials in the heavier densities (the opposite of sound absorption, which are often found in the light densities).
An increased density can be achieved by using regenerated foam (also called Comprex or Bonded Foam)
Application areas can typically be sound insulation of engine rooms in yachts, wind turbine nacelles, compressors and other noisy machines, where it is possible to separate the source from the surrounding area.
If it is needed to create a cooling air circulation in relation to the sound insulation, it is possible also to create a sound lock/sound trap with sound absorption material.
